Detronics

At the heart of London-based Detronics is a four decades long collaboration between David Dent (left, The Detonators, These Bridges, Giantene) and Ian Stark (right, The Fads, Fun with Food).

Combining moods of progressive, psychedelic and alternative, David takes the lead on the lyrics and vocals, while Ian majors on the musical arrangements. That said, each new song is a genuine job-share

Detronics’ 2022 debut album ‘All That I Asked For’ combined many new pieces alongside songs co-developed in the earliest days of their partnership, re-arranged and re-recorded for a contemporary audience. Their 2025 follow up album 'World Goes Bang' is all new material, with one exception, 'The Outer Reach', based on a very early song. 

Late bloomers, perhaps. Decide for yourself if the wait was worth it.

2026 sees new videos and live performanes being planned.
